The front desk and checkin was smooth and wonderful. Great staff that offered us team and ginger cake once we settled in. You can get that complementary every day. The hotel lobby looks beautiful, but once you start heading to the rooms, you can see it's a bit dated. The hallway floors squeak and it just felt a bit old.
The room was nice and clean (still dated) and had enough space to accommodate the three of us (2 Adults, 1 toddler). They already had the travel cot set which was nice. The key they give you has a 8" long by 6" wide key fob with the room number which was ridiculous to carry so we just took it off while traveling about. My only real complaint is that they have those sinks that have individual cold and hot faucets. Why! In the morning, since the hallways have no insulation, we heard folks walking around and slamming the doors of the other rooms.
The location is wonderful and in walking distance to the main stores in town. Parking is free from 6:30pm to 9am then if parking behind the hotel in their lot, you need to pay 1 Euro per hour. This was ok for us since we just fed the meter and were out by 10:30 and back by nightfall.

While it looks delightfully old fashioned from the outside, the comfort and service was very up to date. After driving down the tree lined drive, the house seems very Irish country manor and certainly the hospitality was exceptional. The bar was a haven for the weary traveller, and even though there were major renovations going on, the place was very peaceful at night. 10 out of 10 for the staff, who welcome you in an impressive fire lit reception room. Easy car parking. A good 15 minute walk, and you are in town - best not to take your car into Killarney as the traffic is quite heavy. Close to everything and extremely comfortable. I will certainly return.

Really enjoyed our experience at this hotel. Nice, spacious rooms. Clean facility. Nice pool. Great choice! Had to pay 10 euros extra for breakfast...debatable whether or not it was worth it. Free parking for guests. Wifi included.
