The Days Inn offers a reasonably nice facility that backs up to the beach. It is close to most Outer Banks activities, shopping, restaurants, etc. The hotel is an older facility, but it has aged with charm and actually fits right into the beach bungalow motif. We were pleasantly surprised that when the desk person noticed my wife's limited walking ability, she voluntarily upgraded our upstairs king room to a downstairs suite with more convenient access - very thoughtful.

Nice hotel in a good location. Had booked a poolside room but decided at the last minute to change to upper level ocean side. The staff were extremely nice and glad to help. Would definitely stay here again!

It was our second time staying here and was very satisfied both times. Rooms are very clean and the staff is excellent. The only thing missing is continental breakfast. Will stay there again on our trip next year.

The staff was great! Everyone was very friendly. The room was very clean and well presented (great job housekeeping!). The walls were ready for a quick paint touch up but the room was light and airy. We happened to be there right before the start of the season so there was a lot of maintenance going on during the day. The pool could have been taken care of a little better, in that there was a lot of sand in the bottom and the staff's solution was to keep putting chemicals in the water, not remove it.
The only issue that we really had was the bus group of 8th graders that stayed below us for two nights. I mentioned the noise level after the first night to the front desk and they weren't sure how to address it with the group because (I was told) they were regulars and the chaperones were out numbered and overwhelmed. I didn't make an issue of it because they were there for such a short time but I would have asked to move if they'd been there longer.
Overall our stay was great! And I would absolutely stay there again.

This hotel was very close to the beach, a 5 minute walk at most. Free continental breakfast with juice, coffee, cereal and batter to makes your own waffles, as well as mini muffins and bagels. Beds are double beds, not queens, and not very comfortable. The room was dated, but clean and for the amount of time we actually spent there, well worth the money, which was priced moderately compared to other pricier hotels. Would stay here again, but get the king bed if possible.

This hotel's location is great. Right on the beach! Breakfast was very nice, much like you'd expect for a free breakfast hotel. Only complaint was that the housekeeping only cleaned the room twice during a 5 night stay. I was traveling alone so I could manage. If I was traveling with my family we would have had issues.

Kill Devil Hills, the Outer Banks’ oldest township, is the site of the first heavier-than-air powered flight. On December 17, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright made four historic flights at the base of a big hill that is now part of the Wright Brothers National Memorial. Kill Devil Hills is also home to the Outer Banks Daredevils of the Coastal Plain League, a collegiate summer baseball league.
