The view, outside appearance and amazing painted sky's or sunsets are awesome from this hotel. The Tiki Bar and Restaurant next door, Great!
The room needs updating, TLC and get rid of the beds. Bed and bedding old and very uncomfortable.
But overall we loved the Location!

Stayed one night on our way to Key West, the other guests were friendly and we enjoyed our stay. This was our second year staying at this Holiday Inn. Easy to find and has a lovely walkway along the canal.

This is not a luxury hotel but if you want a comfortable, spacious place to stay near restaurants and all manner of activities, this place is for you. For a reasonable room rate, you get a living room, full kitchen and second floor bedroom with a comfy bed. We enjoyed having our morning cup of coffee on the screened-in balcony overlooking the marina.
Best to ask for a room near the lobby as these rooms are in better shape and further away from the bars on the other side of the marina which can get quite noisy at night. The hotel could use some updating but our room was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. There are several good restaurants within walking distance and others are a short drive away. You can book a fishing excursion or kayak right downstairs as well. Overall, I'd give this place 3.5 stars.
