We needed to break up a trip from Boston to Acadia - and did not want to spend 1000s. If we sound like you< this hotel might suit but keep in mind, you get what you pay for. We stayed in rooms with large windows, overlooking a very public parking lot. One room heard a generator (aka jet engine) ramping up and down all night. Not ok. Perhaps the rooms with water views are located in the building where breakfast is served - if so, opt for those rooms. Beds were comfortable and while the decor was just ok, the rooms were spacious. The staff was professional and very accommodating. The location is very convenient.

We selected this hotel for a overnight stay for it's location-The ocean view from the property is great. Unfortunately that same view would later turn out to be a bit of a pain. In the middle of the night through the early morning hours a high wind storm passed through, causing a large amount of leaves and beach sand material to be thrown against our car. But after the storm passed, the staff let me use their garden hose to wash it all off.

Main Street, in the heart of the historic district, is lined with shops, restaurants, and the Brick Store Museum, which preserves the Kennebunk region’s history. On Summer Street, visitors tour Victorian mansions, many built by sea merchants during the town’s seafaring days. On Beach Avenue, pedestrians meander along a 1.5-mile stretch of sidewalks that links the beaches from Gooch’s to Lord’s Point.
