"Nice hotel some rooms renovated"
They were renovating while we stayed, we had to get our room changed because it was so loud. The pools were not heated and the hot tubs a bit chilly as well. There were a couple of loud parties going on as well, it didn't seem like the staff cared or they were friends if the staff.

"Convenient, affordable, amenity-filled"
We were camping most of the time in Hawaii, and on my last night I decided a hotel might be best to just gather our bearings and, let's be honest, get clean... beach camping only offers outdoor showers... Ha. This was more than a hotel; it was more like an apartment/condo community. From our paperwork and signage, it appears some units may be privately owned, while others rented out to travelers. No matter the logistics (I was just curious), it was a great place to spend our final night. The beds were cozy - so many pillows! The place was roomy - enough room for these two campers to finally get some personal space! A kitchen, big bedroom, living/dining area, large lanai.. and the bathroom had a separate vanity room which was so convenient for two people to use. It was later in the evening by the time we settled so we didn't use the pool ( a bit chilly), but we did use the hot tub. It was nice. The property was well-kept. Since we arrived in the early evening and were leaving early the next day, we didn't get to use this room's (or apartment, rather) full potential! The kitchen was SO well-stocked, but we didn't get to use anything except the coffee pot. This would be GREAT for extended stay. There is beach access as advertised, but it's quite a walk--and across an access road, so just keep that in mind. The advertisement is accurate, but it's not as close as you'd think. (We didn't need the beach access, but just sharing because others will.)

"Beautiful, jungle feel"
Had a great experience here, mountains in the distance, quiet, the free "breakfast" was fruit and toast... But better than nothing. They had free beach chairs and boogie boards for us to use which was nice!

"Great rooms, not far from the beach"
We stayed in the brand new rooms. They were amazing. Spacious with all the utensils we needed. Everything is less than 5 mins away by car too: the beach and stores, etc.

"It is close to the beach- that's why we go there. "
Not happy they removed the hot plates and toasters from the rooms. Homeless people were using the facilities and swimming in the pool. Didn't feel safe- more security needed

"Watch the Weather"
The Hanalei Colony Resort is lovely. It's right on the beach. The condo's are fully equipped and roomy. Our unit had two bathrooms. It was clean and nicely furnished. However, we left two days early. My husband was sick but also it rained constantly while we were there (7 nights over Thanksgiving). We could not enjoy the beach. The pool is small and the water was cold. The spa is nice but small. The onsite restaurant has good food, but is very pricey. Overall, we would stay there again but not during the rainy season.

"mix up with my room but overall good stay"
There was a bit of a mix up with my reservations. I was put into a 1 bedroom when I paid for a 2 bedroom. Not to mention my reservations was cancelled because it got mixed up with a previous reservation I made. But other then that very nice. Our unit was right by the pool so it was perfect for my daughter.

"Nice small resort, but bed WAY too soft!"
Nice small-scale resort, NOT for children since there's not much too do there. Rooms were clean and somewhat updated - it seems like they're still working on all the furniture. Bathroom was nicely done and a good size, but the bed was rather broken down and WAY too soft.

Kauai Island is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Kauai Island, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Kauai Island hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
