We drove up from San Diego to go to June Mountain to try snowboarding. Our room was cozy but roomy enough for four adults. It was a bit dusty in the dark corners but the bathroom and kitchenette were spotless.
It was very convenient having the kitchenette since there's no hotel breakfast provided except for a continental breakfast on Sunday morning which we had to miss to get to our lesson.
The hotel lobby is a very nice place to hang out with a big fireplace and comfy chairs.
We had a very enjoyable stay.

This was my first time going to Mammoth and I couldn't find a place to stay but ended up finding this place, which really isn't far at all from Mammoth and also June is right there as well. The room was big, the living room was nice and comfy, I think the only downsides to staying here is that the wifi is on the slower side but I didn't expect much anyways and also there's not really a guide for the TV so you kinda have to keep scrolling through every channel but honestly it was a great stay. Had fun and really enjoyed my stay.

"Beautiful setting, well appointed room, affordable"
Arrived after front desk closed to find my keys taped to the door. Simple room but good sized. Kitchenette was well appointed, large refrigerator, microwave, toaster. Plenty of hot water, comfortable beds. WIFI was spotty. Great for an overnight or an extended stay for a cost conscious traveler.

Everything was so beautiful in June Lake. The couple that runs the place are very nice and friendly. We got in late and were so happy that they left the place open and ready for us to go in. My only complaint is there is no microwave in the cottage. A must when you have kids! We truly enjoyed being there!

Very well equipped, clean, walking distance to marina, discount on fishing boats, Laura was a wonderful host. Will be back and would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away to the mountains and enjoy the cool clear days and nights, especially in the early fall.

I was looking for a hotel in Mammoth Mountain resort area when this was listed as being 9 miles away. First off it's more like 25 miles by car and 9 miles by helicopter. The good part is it was a very nice place and there is a ski area in June Lake we had no idea about. The rustic theme was awesome with beautiful mountain views. There was a couple of issues with the room but the staff was great and took care of us. I want to go back and try one of the cabins. Resteraunt was equally memorable which made it a place you didn't have to leave if feeling lazy for the day.

During our stay we experienced a problem with the hot water. Manager was on site to inspect the hot water heater and called a plumber if necessary . Just to address the issue so quickly was impressive.

The cabin was very well equipped with everything you need for catering for yourself. There were lots of towels and extra blankets provided. This is not the best location if your main reason for staying in the area is to visit Yosemite National Park. Although the Tioga entrance is only about 20 minutes drive away, it takes 2.5 hours to drive down to Yosemite Valley. The visitor information in the cabin is rather out of date, and it would have been helpful to have written instructions about using equipment such as the shower.

Pocket Guide: Yosemite National Park June Lake Hotels
A lake and town, June Lake is 20 miles from Mammoth Lakes. The lake is popular for fishing. A half-mile past the town of June Lake is the June Mountain Ski Area, a lesser-known resort than Mammoth Lakes, but also significantly less crowded. A ski school and snowboarding are also there.
