I stayed a couple of nights at this chateau while on a long bike ride. I felt welcomed by the staff, the grounds were beautiful. I had my dinners and breakfasts in the chateau's restaurant, and the food was amazing. I stayed during an abnormally hot summer, my only criticism would be the lack of air conditioning.

Staff and ambience great.
This hotel is not suitable for disabled guests. Parking far from rooms. Difficult walk on unlit paths. No lift in main building.
Would have been nice to have tea maker in room.

We stayed on family business at the hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is in a secluded part of town, the GPS takes you there. The friendly Labrador is just a welcome bark.....the congenial host received us warmly...we were given a welcome upgrade...our room was impeccably clean and comfortable...the establishment is a sensitive conversion of an old building to the new (9 months) hotel...some old features respectfully preserved, ample free parking. Our son and his wife joined us midway ....we had a 'reunion' dinner ....delicious 'home' cooking we enjoyed in the charming dining room....the continental breakfasts were outstanding in freshness and quality. The baguette, mini croissants, brioche all were as if they just came out of the oven...outstanding butter, good coffee, juices.....excellent yoghurt in glass jars ( not the ubiquitous plastic)...the homemade jams...and time to enjoy it all...Our gracious hosts were anticipating our every wish and were available when we needed to get help or information...the rooms were made up nicely in our absence ....the special locks on the building and on our room gave us a real feeling of security, even though we felt secure throughout our stay in the area...the wine cellars are outstanding...tastings not to be missed.

Lying adjacent to the city of Tours, Joue-les-Tours is the largest suburb in the area. At just 5 km away, the Gemmail museum is worth a look. Set in a 12th century underground chapel in the Raimbault Mansion, the exhibition displays a selection of fine work produced using the unusual Gemmail technique. Keen anglers can fish in the nearby Bretonnieres Lake.
