Great hotel on the ocean in Jekyll Island. Terrific balcony and view. Very nice rooms. Nice beach for walking and sunning but not for swimming. The beach has a very shallow slope into the ocean. Nice little Island to bike or walk but limited options for activities/restaurants to last more than a couple of days.

Two older female traveling buddies got to Villas and checked in. Once I saw the lay out, I was hoping for a ground floor unit as the lady I was traveling with has very bad legs/knees. Since we were staying for only one night, we agreed to stay in the upper unit they assigned us.....and it took a LONG time to get her up those interior stairs! It took multiple trips for me to get the minimal but bulky luggage up those stairs. No real railing to hold onto or brace with or grasp....carpet has a dash of wear to it that almost resulted in a slip going down. Access from parking lot to sidewalk was gravel, a tad difficult.
Condo unit was clean and we felt safe.

This property is really a very elegant place to stay. Everyone on staff is eager to please the guests. We truly enjoyed our stay with one exception...the size of our room. Even though, we didn't spend a great deal of time there, the relatively small room size was a bit of a drawback. Bed comfort was outstanding and all of the bath linens were of top quality.

We stayed at a hotel at this exit because the person we were visiting said it was a safer neighborhood than some of the other exits. There are several hotels nearby and a few restaurants. The mall is on the same exit a few miles down the road with lots of restaurants between there and the hotel. The room was your typical hotel room with the thru-wall A/C unit. I like these as I leave the fan on at night for white noise because early morning garbage pick-ups and snow plows have awakened me at other hotels. Our room was pretty quiet but we could hear some loud noise from down the hall just for a few minutes. The closet has a large mirrored door which I like to use to put on make-up instead of leaning over the counter because of my back. The lighting by the mirrored door could be brighter. The room came with a microwave and a refrigerator. We put drinks in the refrigerator but only stayed one night so we didn't use the microwave. The TV channel listing did not match the current channel line up.The breakfast was good and the room it was served in had several tables and 2 TV's to watch the news. The staff were pleasant.
