Stayed here for my Sons graduation from URI. Outstanding place. Staff was incredibly polite and knowledgeable of the local area. Beautiful place with great views. My room was spotless and very comfortable.

Stayed two nights in secound week of May.
Pros - Check in was great. Pool was nice. Nice location to beach, restaurants(Trio was really nice and right next door) A very nice coffee stop accross the street. And a Dunkin Donuts behind the hotel. Room was clean. Quiet time of year not many guests.
Got back from sight seeing one day and are cards would not work to the room. We went to the front desk and she reactivated the card. No big deal but a small inconvenience.
Our room was directly over a bar which had a band playing at night. Very loud in room. I don't recommend staying in this part of the hotel (the wave 2nd floor. I believe are room number was 215 but it may have been 225. After not being able to enjoy myself in the room. I went down to check out the band. They were horrible. Two older man that couldnt sing or play guitar in my opinion, and some younger guys on bongo drums. The bar was packed with a younger crowd. I may have stayed 20 minutes. Luckly the band stopped playing a 11:00PM.
The hotel was in repairs. The deck was not open.

Only stayed one night. Reserved on Expedia. We were happy with the room. Even though you can't see much of the ocean from the second floor, the view of Easton Pond from the bedroom window was very calm. We watched birds in the morning. (There is a trail that goes around the pond if you want exercise) Then we took our coffee and walked across the street to the benches in the park that looked over the beach and surf. The breakfast was sufficient--the same as we've seen at many hotels--cereal, yogurt, and coffee. Enough to get you going for the day without having to leave the hotel too early.

My wife and I stayed at NYLO for two nights on a short sightseeing trip. We chose it because of it original design and easy access to major roads and central location to visit Newport, Providence and several State Parks. Rooms are functional and quiet, but not big. Parking is plentiful, but located across the street (very little traffic). We only had one breakfast there - it was very good, and after checking the menu, dinner should be good too.

A popular getaway destination, Jamestown is located on the 9 mile by 1 mile Conanicut Island, which is connected to the mainland by two bridges, and is also served by a local passenger ferry. Most of the village’s main sights lay on Narragansett Avenue, which is bordered on each end by a marina. Locally-owned businesses abound in Jamestown, as the town has no chain restaurants or stores.
