"Great neighbourhood, easy access to tube"
Great hotel! A couple minutes away from Old Street Station so the location is extremely accessible to the rest of London. Neighbourhood has lots of restaurants and nightlife. Rooms were modern and clean but tablet controlled lights and room settings were finicky at times. Staff were extremely helpful especially when arranging airport transportation. Overall, recommended.

"First Class London Hotel"
This hotel earns every single one of its 5 stars. The room was gorgeous (the privacy screen was our favorite!). Elegance and luxury doesn't even begin to describe it. The staff was first-rate and the service impeccable. Will definitely make this our first-choice hotel for all future trips.

"Great location"
The hotel is only a minute to the underground and train station as well as the McDonald opened till late night or 24-hour that I could not exactly remember. The location is excellent. What not so good is some rooms are at basement and can only be accessed by staircases that it was a bit inconvenient if you have big or many luggages. They also charge you 5 pounds per luggage if you need to put at the hotel and wait for the night train or other reason. Yet it was already cheaper than leaving in the train station where you may need to queue for a long time. However, the security might not be so good because you drop it and take it by yourself in a room (though locked) without any tag or what other thing to identify your own luggages.

"Right at the City Centre's Edge. Perfect Hotel."
I wanted to see if a five star hotel was worth the money. And, the Montcalm at the Brewery did not disappoint. I see why people pay for five star hotels. You absolutely will get what you pay for. I booked this room, initially, through Expedia. I was given an upgrade room because of mobility issues. Lovely, lovely room. I ended up in the Montcalm Club Room. From the state of the art lighting to the two shower heads, everything is done just right. That bed was the best bed I have slept in from any hotel I have ever visited. It was massive and comfortable. The area is perfect. Just outside of the City Centre. I was able to grab coffee & a pastry across the street. I was able to watch a movie across the street. The Barbican is right across the street. The hotel is close to all sorts of transport. It was quiet & peaceful & I enjoyed every minute of it. The staff--second to none. From the moment my cab pulled up, I understood what five stars meant. I did not have to touch my luggage until I was in my room. Just exceptional. If you want it or need it & they can get it for you, they will. Just Ask. I enjoyed my stay so much that I booked a weekend in August on their site. No more Expedia. (It is not worth the headache). This is one thing, however, that Expedia got right. I was blessed with one of the best hotels in London. Book The Room, you will be glad that you did. (Oh, after you have settled in the room, someone comes by & checks that you are okay). Truly Top Notch!!!

"Good for a short stay "
Dark and moody décor is ott but it's new, clean and tidy which makes most things forgivable. We'll likely return but will ask for a room with some storage - ours had none. There are a plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We went to 'Paesan' a nice, very lively Italian a 5 minute walk away - good food and friendly service. Breakfast was expensive so we got hot bacon batches and coffee from local cafes - one 50yds away and one near Farringdon tube - both were great. It's a business areas so pubs heaving after work on Friday - quieter at weekends.

"Good location and leisure facilities"
I have used this hotel for business stays on a weekly basis for the last month. The shared areas are very nice, clean and well kept. Some of the bedrooms whilst very clean, could do with an update and it appears that all the TV's in each room I have stayed in have poor picture and sound quality. The cleanliness is exceptional and the staff very helpful and pleasant. As a single female traveller I feel safe and comfortable in the hotel.

Islington is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Islington, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Islington hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
