Hotel under new management and staff. Previous management kept hotel grounds immaculate and staff were well versed and experienced. New staff are not knowledgable do not clean on a daily basis and continental breakfast is not fully stocked. The hotel itself is breathtaking and great for relaxing in tropical setting.

The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. We had one noise issue that we reported caused by gaps in door separating us from another room.
We enjoyed the kayak and paddleboards along with the bikes.
Good continental breakfast
We would go back again

We have been to Hawks Cay twice and the best features for us is that there is an adults only pool. This is a good resort for families and there looks to be a lot of family activities. Alma is also an excellent restaurant and you can get Starbucks in the gift shop which we really appreciate!

All in all great place to stay. Be advised Expedia's price did not include the $25/day amenity fee. Amenities were great though we snorkeled and kayaked for hours. Never got to use the paddleboards or bicycles. No real cons to think of. Room was super comfortable and clean. I guess if you don't like seafood or Italian your menu choices on site are limited. My wife is not a huge seafood fan - the Wet Bar was 100% seafood menu-Tiki Bar had decent bar-food type choices. Breakfast was good at the Wet Bar you could just get bacon and eggs if you wanted though I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the shrimp and cheesy grits it was fantastic!! Drinks were good-pretty much anywhere in the Keys you are looking at $10/drink more or less unless you are drinking bud light at happy hour. We spent one day on site then drove around the other 2 days sightseeing while we were in town. You could easily spend all your time here though everything you need to enjoy your stay is on site or within 5 minute drive. Also location is good as a jumping off point for any other of the Keys you are pretty much in the middle of everything when you stay here.
