Came to the Rocpool after a week in Edinburgh at a so-called 5 star luxury hotel. Our expectations were not high as the hotel in Edinburgh was so disappointing (reminded us of Eastern block hotels in the '90s). We were pleasantly surprised by the Rocpool. It is truly a luxury boutique hotel. We had a 'Chic' room, which was beautiful. The room was spacious enough, bed was very comfortable and had an assortment of pillows, great bathroom and shower, wonderful room service breakfasts with beautiful presentation. The staff recommended good local restaurants and arranged for a driver who took us around for a day to local sights and a whisky distillery for tour and tasting. Best food of our entire stay in Scotland was at the Rocpool Restaurant (no relation) along the River Loch. You won't be disappointed!

Such a beautiful hotel. We stayed in arm 4. Hotel. We stayed with another couple who were on the other side of the hotel.
Hotel manager was very good, he is an Asian gentleman and he was very helpful.
We had dinner there too, Saphire was our server and went out of the way to get us a cheese platter which we devoured outside in the patron with Cigars.

Inverness is the most northerly city in the British Isles and lies in the heart of the vast Scottish Highlands. Ness Islands Walk takes visitors upstream from the city centre, where the cathedral and war memorial can be spotted on the approach to the small islands in the middle of the river. Inverness is a great base for exploring; the city is around 21 km from the shores of the renowned Loch Ness.
