I am just back from a two night stay at the Royal Plaza. I felt compelled to write a review as my experience as far better than expected. Other reviews said the hotel was dated, which leads one to believe that it's somewhat shabby and tired. This hotel is CLASSIC is what it is. Nothing is dated or shabby, it's simply old school opulence. Just because everything is gold instead of chrome does perhaps date it, era wise, but the quality is there. Granite and marble bathrooms have stood the test of time, the 80's mirrors on the stairs a 'art' in their own right and the housekeeping is immaculate - not a speck of dust or smear on only mirror or surface. The bedrooms are large and airy and all works ask it should. They provide everything you should need and more (Including a pen with touch screen stylus).
The location was excellent - a short walk from all Ibiza town has to offer and brilliant for the Airport bus, 4 mins walk.
Old school luxury continues with the use of linen everywhere from breakfast, to pool side drinks - lovely touch.
The staff were lovely and accommodating (storing our bikes and luggage), breakfast a feast, bed the comfiest we encountered on our trip round Ibiza and the roof top bar and pool a delight. I would come back here and there are not many places I say that to.

We had a fun stay! Two balconies with a pool and ocean view. What a view!
The staff was friendly and helped when need be.
Our only issue was the amount of young Brits doing drugs eeeeverywhere. This was quite ironic because we were yelled at for having out music too loud. Yet, there are kids raging by the pool.

Stayed 4 nights . On the beach , nice pool . Good food . Nice large chill out lounge area. Close to the airport , space night club. Free internet but slow speed . Room shower is salt water !! walls are not sound proof , can be noisy till sunrise but with aircon on the humming noise can drown most of the external noises. phone in room didn't work , wasn't fixed . Room was clean and bed was comfortable .

It has an all inclusive service which is perfect if you are on a budget. It has breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bar service is great but the bartenders looks angry all the times, and the liquors are not known brands but its okay.

We went 'bed and breakfast' and can't fault the hotel at all. Our friends were all inclusive and there was obviously a huge difference with quality of food and alcohol. But great location, amazing facilities, so clean and room was great too

Measuring 45 by 25 kilometres, the prevalent image of Ibiza is perpetual partying. This is only true of San Antonio, Playa d’en Bossa and Ibiza Town by night. By day, the latter, with its hippy-chic shops and narrow whitewashed streets, is a highlight for all visitors. Much of Ibiza is undeveloped with beautiful sandy beaches and coves, and typical Balearic villages. The island of Formentera, 45 minutes south, is a popular excursion.
