I had a brilliant time in this hotel. The staff were friendly and always smiling. Pool is small but nice for just doing a few lengths, and the sauna and steam room were lovely. Overall a great stay, and a handy location just off the motorway.

Small but adequate room on the top floor. Clean and comfortable.
Room was to the front of the property which did pick up noise from the main road. Not too disturbing though.
Luckily breakfast was included in the rate, would have been annoyed if we had paid £13 for the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs (one measly slice of salmon given expected more for the price).
Definitely book in advance walk up rates are extortionate.

Lovely first stay at the 3 Acres, made extra special, thanks to the amazing team. We were attending a wedding reception at Bagden Hall and unfortunately the taxi firm let us down. Despite how busy everyone was Tom Truelove kindly came to the rescue and gave us a lift, amazing service, thank you so much.

Hotel was nice and comfortable. Bar staff were abrupt at times. Bar manager/ supervisor needs to improve his customer relations skills. Sharp to answer at times. Problems with electronic room cards staff we dismissive.

I had a fine stay for 5 nights in July, while I was working in Leeds.
‘ Picked off the internet, I was a little concerned that inn / tavern might mean that I was in for a bawdy or raucous evening crowd, with music blearing until the small hours, or irritating gaming machine sounds non-stop?
Not really. A little sound came through the floorboards when someone used a microphone downstairs, but fine really. My room faced a carpark at the rear.
Croppers is certainly a pub in style but in use more like a restaurant, with rooms upstairs. And quiet enough when I was there. Being an older building, some sounds did travel at quiet times - people movements about 5:30 some mornings, or the rubbish truck about 7am.
Breakfast was fine.
And the staff couldn't be more helpful, including the chefs.
Location - fine, with a little road noise from the street at the front. Loads of buses go to town in the morning, but I walked to the Huddersfield station in 15mins for trains to Leeds.
My room was fine and spacious.
Would I stay again - definitely.
