My husband and I needed a hotel in Homestead to attend a funeral and were pleasantly surprised. We booked a single room with 1 king bed. The hotel provides free breakfast with everything you can think of EXCEPT there is no bacon or sausage. The dining area is only a few feet away from the check-in desk and there aren't enough tables & chairs to accommodate all the guests. If you arrive for breakfast after 8am, the only seating you will find is in the outdoor dining area which can get very hot even in the early morning hours. The room had laminated wood flooring--a nice change from carpet which is not hygienic. It's very quiet and very clean. The room was equipped with a blow dryer, iron & ironing board, & mini fridge.
I absolutely HATE the way most hotels these days have the sink outside the room where the toilet is. Very unhygienic and stupid set-up, having to open the door with tissued hand before getting to a sink--how ridiculous.

This was a nice place. Arrived after office hours and had no problem getting my pre-paid for room. The room was very basic as was expected but had a fridge, microwave and two burners. This was nice and saved on money. My stay was rather short, 3 days, since it was a unexpected emergency. My only complaint was that the wi-fi did not work at all for a period of close 24 hours (not sure how long it did not work as I had to check out, but it was night time and morning). I called the caretaker and this problem was never fixed. I went for some time without wi-fi were-as the days before it did work. So my advice is that if you absolutely must have internet availability (for say work) do not stay here. Other than that the place was nice. Quiet. Do believe dogs are allowed, as I did here one when I was in the hallway. Laundry facilities are available and if I 'd stayed longer I would have used them.

Pros: clean rooms (still not detail clean), very good and complete breakfast (no need to go anywhere else for that), big and clean pool, laundry, grill for you to cook if you want, good TV with MAX and HBO channels, good internet connection, good shower pressure, comfy beds, and friendly staff.
Cons: Room was not detail clean. On our second day we found a toy under the bed that belonged to the family that stayed there before us. We also found a dental floss in the back of the bed. It was there until we left, also from the family that stayed before us. Under the sink there were spider web. One of my pillow cases had a stain and it was never changed. Beds were made daily by the staff but they weren't changed although they had a stain. Pillows are very small and bland. One of the back fences was broken not providing that sense of security since you can see some persons that seems to go asking for money. Also in our second day the person staying in the room across of us was banging the door and cussing because his key wasn't functioning (this was before 6:00am). At least this one has nothing to do with the staff, still it was a bitter experience for us.
Still in overall the experience was good than bad and we still recommend and will stay at this hotel if we go to that area.
