"Super location and great hotel"
I booked the hotel because of its close location to the Dom and to public transportation like trains and street car. I was pleasantly surprised, when I arrived. It is a very modern hotel with spacious and super clean rooms. Check in when quickly and the staff was extremely helpful. I used their fairly large pool and fitness centre every day and found it very enjoyable. I did not use the restaurant at the hotel, but there are lots of different eating places all around in walking distance. Even though the location is in the very heart of Cologne, it was very quiet and you got a good rest. I was very surprised that all phone calls, even international ones were complimentary.

"Very pleasant"
Check in was easy. Staff was very nice, and was happy to speak English for me. Room was really nice. The bathroom had a heated floor and part of the mirror was antifogging. It had a blow dryer for use, which was really helpful as I didn't want to weight down my luggage with one. It took me a few minutes to figure out that the lights don't work until you put your card key in the slot by the door, but that is just my ignorance of European hotels. Overall a very nice, quiet stay. Beautiful hotel to look at also.

"Fantastic location and hotel"
Great hotel with rugs rather than carpets. So if you like comfort, take your slippers as none are provided in the rooms although you can get robes if you ask. Maybe slippers are also with this. 5th floor room is good enough to see Dom. Great view. Never saw more than 5 people at one time. Either the hotel was empty, I doubt that, or it was just managed really well. Modern and contemporary, good for business people. Free Wifi throughout. Great lounge area with really comfortable seats. So if you are early, it will be a delight to wait. Although we were 3 hours early and still got a room straight away! Clean and comfortable. Oh, the blinds come down automatically at 8.45am in the morning to shade the sun. No one told us and we didn't know how to use it. Manual controls in the room though so you can get a clear view outside. Oops our blind broke on the last morning. They were on it it straight away to get repaired. Didn't get a map on arrival so ask for one. Didn't want to pay extra 15 Euros a night for a higher floor. Good for gay bars and facilities. Great restaurants and cafes in local area. 20 minute walk to Dom. Great shopping everywhere.

"Short break in Cologne"
First impressions of the hotel were very favourable. That huge atrium has quite an effect. I was also impressed with my room, though it was a very long walk and I wasn't offered a porter to show me the way or help with luggage. The room was a good size with a separate seating area and a desk and chair. No tea or coffee facilities but that's often the case in Europe. The bathroom was beautiful with a very impressive shower and spotlessly clean. Then I had a pleasant meal in the hotel on my first night. The first disappointment came when I went to bed. The single pillow on my bed was completely useless. It was very soft but completely flat. I had a twin room so took the pillow off the second bed but that made no difference. Next day I was waiting for my sister and cousin to arrive. I went out for breakfast as I grudged paying €23, particularly as I'm vegetarian and wouldn't be able to eat most of it. A cafe in the atrium which apparently offered a continental breakfast was on summer break so that option wasn't available. When my sister and cousin arrived I was surprised to see that my cousin had a coffee maker in her room so I asked at reception if I could have one. They told me no, it had been left in my cousin's room by mistake, there must have been a pilot in the room before. In the evening we decided to stay in the hotel to eat as the weather had turned bad. All bar one of the places in the hotel were on summer break. Not even the piano bar was open. Not good enough.

Hoehenberg is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Hoehenberg, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Hoehenberg hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
