"Beautiful, nicely situated, charming hotel"
My husband and I stayed here on our 1st trip through the PCH/California coast. We absolutely loved it. Jennifer and Greg were so sweet and welcomed us by giving us some pointers on what to do in the area and personally showed us to our room. Cannot say enough what a precious gem this is and very centrally located. We would stay here again, in heartbeat!

"Great value"
La quinta is towards the top of state street so is a bit of a walk towards the beach. With that in mind, either be prepared to walk a lot or take a short lyft ride. Rooms were clean and conveniently located across store from a little market. My only complaint is that when I lost my keys I was not asked for any identification or verification that I was in fact staying in the room I asked for new keys for. That can freak me out a bit but other than that a wonderful stay!

"Gorgeous California quaint getaway!!"
Gorgeous Santa Barbara!! This hotel is the quaint place to stay and enjoy Santa Barbara! 5 minute walk from Amtrak train station. Located in a quiet neighborhood with small market steps out the door. Flowers everywhere with a wonderful breakfast of fruit, yogurt, pastries, chilled boiled eggs, cold cereal, tea, coffee and juice. Afternoon with wine and cheese and wonderful cookies in the evening. Tables on the outside entry to enjoy the weather or an area inside with books, fireplace and lots of dvd selections to take back to your room. Frank at the front desk went above and beyond and was always helpful!! Comfortable bed and beautiful linens. Beautiful flowers everywhere!! The trolley for State street is 5 minute walk towards train station and everyone was friendly and had great suggestions. The beach is a 10 minute walk and be sure and eat at Sambo's - it closes at 3 p.m. Take the "Red" trolley for the 90 minute tour of Santa Barbara to see everything. This tour WILL stop at the "Mission" and will pick up every hour. Notice the Fig Tree walking from Train Station to hotel. The Court House is a "must" see! 4th floor to admire the view!! State Street is 5 miles long and took us 3 days to see all of it - great shopping and reasonably priced, bring extra luggage for all the treasures you'll find to take home! Steak dinner on wharf at Moby Dicks!! Perfect weather!! Loved - Loved - Loved it!!

"Nice location for walking to many activities"
We had a wonderful time and loved that this hotel was in a great location and was very clean. Enjoyed the wine/cheese and cookie treats available. The hotel is very quaint and the beds were VERY comfortable. Continental breakfast could offer more of a variety, but it was a pleasant set up and it's nice to be able to eat outdoors. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends/family and will definitely return in the future.

"Nice hotel in a nice area"
Great location, about 15 min from downtown Santa Barbara. Good breakfast (included), but could offer more fruit. A bit of an odd smell in the room but not a deal breaker. Saturday had a lot of families staying for a soccer tournament and mayhem ensured at the pool. Why do parents let their kids do that at hotel pools? We never did with our kids - just disrespectful to everyone else there. Sunday they were gone so sitting by the pool was great. Friendly and courteous staff. Would stay there again.

"The Four Seasons Biltmore is magnificent!"
I couldn't have been happier about our post wedding stay at this landmark hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was fabulously friendly and charming. We were treated with tremendous kindness at every step of our two day stay. The facility is exquisite, every detail attended to. Nothing here is inexpensive, but if you're going to splurge, do it here! It's beyond beautiful, and the staff treats you like you're royalty. My only hope is that their food improves a bit. Being from the Northern Cal food Mecca of Berkeley, my dining standards were not met. Nothing was horrible, but nothing was amazing like everything else here.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
