After reading all the positive reviews a few friends and I stayed at the Sonesta for 3 nights. It was terrific! The rooms were clean, the bathroom had a nice long vanity, the bed was amongst the most comfortable that I've ever slept on in a hotel. We ate at the restaurant for one night and the food was great, but since it is so well located it's hard not to want to eat at other places like Chow Daddy's!
The pool area was busy with kids, the beach was not crowded at all and extremely short walk with water that was a warm 79 degrees. The bicycle rental was expensive and for this we went to the Hilton Head Island bike rental for a fraction of the cost. Bike riding on the beach and on the island was a real treat, no hills, very relaxing and a great way to see a lot.

Good location. Need more parking. Need quieter ventilation system. Need fence around alligator pond..he could have attacked someone as people were so close to him. Need something to block wind..could hear howling of the wind in our room. Nice upgrades

The Hotel Resort provided a much needed "Renewal Experience" ! The opportunity to enjoy a beach, pool, spa, breakast, and snacks at the pool was enjoyable. The staff presented themselves in a professional and friendly manner.
A wonderful time was shared with my grandchildren as we interacted with each other and other hotel guests.
The recent renovations enhancements are a plus!
Planning to the revisit!
