Room good standard, staff good especially cleaners as I arrived ill and they were very helpful. Apparently good gym + pool. Breakfasts very good buffet. I have seen some poor reviews regarding some room. Mine was a good standard and I found no different to main (better) American Hotel chains 4 stars. Location excellent.

We stayed for a week, so we really got to know the place. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are elegant and comfortable. The restaurant is great.
Everything else was magnificent. The interior has a style that is luscious and over-the-top, but still very enjoyable.
The location is a 5 minute walk from the Hermitage.
And finally, we had the Concierge help us with many things, all expertly handled.
Perhaps the only quibble is that the wine list in the restaurant is priced about 3x to 4x normal. We drank a low cost Rose, and it was $80 per bottle. But I suspect this is a "Russia" thing - as in high tariffs or something, because all restaurants had high wine prices.

I had a very good stay at the Comfort Hotel in St. Petersburg Aug 9/10. Room was very large and clean with a modern bathroom that included a 2 person jaccuzzi tub. Elena at the front desk was very helpful in giving directions and recommendations. She spoke perfect English and could not have been nicer.

"Great Location to Popular Sites in St. Petersburg"
Great location, walking distance to most popular sites in St. Petersburg (SPB). Large, clean rooms. Friendly, accommodating, English speaking staff. Free hot breakfast...eggs of any type cooked to order, cereal, juice, coffee. Coffee, tea and cookies upon returning to room at end of day. Comfortable room by European standards with bed and 2 sitting chairs. High ceilings with Baroque decorations. Hotel safe, but no room safe. Info@casaleto.com for local contact info. Only minor issue we experienced was poor water pressure in shower when many guests are taking a shower at the same time.

This hotel is in a good location only 10 minutes walk to Nevsky Prospekt the main street and 15 minutes to the Hermitage. Hotel staff were helpful, friendly and spoke english and sorted out any issues quickly - safe was broken in room and didnt replenish soap on daily basis. Room was very clean.
St Petersburg is easy to walk around and get to the main sights. If you want to do a boat trip up the Neva or canal trip they have certain times for the English commentary so check times otherwise will be in Russian and you can make up your own commentary like we did which was a laugh. Peterhof, the Hermitage and Church of Spilled Blood are a must. Worth going into the Church of Spilled Blood as havent seen anything like it before. Also worth getting to the Hermitage early say about 945am opens at 1030 as queues are horrendous.

The Winter Palace is the most famous building of imperial St. Petersburg, not only as the residence of the Tsars and the backdrop for the 1905 and 1917 Revolutions, but also as the home of the Hermitage, the world's largest museum of art. The present structure, completed in 1762 and designed by Bartolomeo Rastrelli, boasts a 200-meter opulent baroque façade.
