The hotel looks delightful and has some wonderful rooms, the dining room being especially grand. But as is common with many hotels of this age, it's full of character (i.e. Creaky floorboards and a strange step in the middle of the bathroom). The breakfast selection was splendid and you could help yourself to whatever you could wish for.

The hotel was well situated for walking to Betty's tea rooms and other attractions. Unfortunately the weather was atrocious and my traveling companion was unable to venture far. I had booked my dog into the hotel and he thoroughly enjoyed his first venture. The hotel experienced problems with their heating but a request at reception resulted in extra blankets and a heater. Would I go back? Overwhelmingly yes.
