Special hotel with village like appeal. Spa furniture outdated a little and villas need some attention to detail and upkeep but otherwise a lovely vacation spot.

"First trip in 20 years"
Excellent hotel!!! I was there to visit my family I hadn't seen in 20 years. I had intended to stay only 5 days, but after a few days my family visit was going so well I decided to stay an extra couple of days. The staff was very accommodating to my request even allowing me to stay in my current room. My family was very happy. I am already planning next years trip and will be staying there for 2 weeks next time.

"Amazing B&B Only 1/2 Hour from Mystic"
I chose this B&B for reasonably-priced accommodations near Mystic, CT. We had a lovely time exploring Mystic, but I think the memories that will stay with us most were those made lingering over breakfast, chatting with Gail and the other guests. The B&B, grounds, and store were adorable, the accommodations were comfortable and clean (not to mention historic and full of character), and Gail's friendly demeanor was comtagious. My only caution would be to those who have trouble with stairs, as there are stairs to access the property and rooms. Overall a lovely and memorable stay. Would very highly recommend!

"Great hotel for concerts/gambling at the casino"
Great location. Check in was done in minutes. Drinks and snacks for sale in lobby. Bar also located in lobby. Friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Shuttle to casino was easy to reserve at check in and was on time for drop off and pick up. Breakfast in the lobby in the morning was free and by far the best selection and quality I've experienced for a continental breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. At the beginning, I wasn't sure to book looking at the low rate. But the price is very good. The hotel was very clean.

"Good value"
A hotel/motel is where I sleep and bathe. My room is not the vacation experience for which I have traveled. So my room expectations are reasonably priced, comfortable bed, and bathroom. Kings Inn provided this. The bed was not the best, but certainly not the worst. The shower is small, but I was able to bathe (I am a large person). The Inn is close to a shopping mall and food market so the location is excellent. The room has a refrigerator and microwave, I used both. It has a TV which I did not use. The desk could use a lamp; the AC unit had warm, cool, or constant air [I wanted cool with a constant fan. That was not an option, just recycling of the fan when the cooling turned on.] I had a coffee brewer but no packs of coffee to be brewed [I got a jar of instant coffee at the food store and used the unit to make hot water.] Some things could be improved, but I did feel the room was worth the cost. The rates had gone up about $5 per night from the first time I stayed. And I will admit the increase was pushing the price point. In other words, another increase and the room will not be worth the price.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
