The check in was very fast, place was clean and staff friendly. The only complaint was when we opened the dresser drawer there were some old muffins in paper towels in the drawer that wasn’t very appealing . The check out was also very fast and efficient.

Nice place to stay. Check in is at restaurant next door. Hotel room has everything you need and then some. Sheets had a lot of hair in them and room had a lot of dust and dirt around baseboards and corners. Location was good but there's not a lot to do downtown Guelph.

Then public spaces and the room were beautiful. But. Every sound made in the hallway could be heard in the room. The shower was beautiful but we could not adjust to a comfortable temperature. It was borderline scalding. Made for a quick shower. The fancy coffee and kettle seemed nice. But no indication of how much water to use. We had too watery coffee. So. Visually beautiful but not so functional.

We have stayed at this hotel over & over again for so many years. It has been a few seasons though since we’ve been here. Nice surprise: the front foyer and breakfast area were wonderfully updated, as was the pool/ hottub area. The latter had replaced an aging sauna with a lovely guest nook with chairs & a table tv & fireplace.
We were all alone in the hottub and it felt like coming home.

Not one but two rivers run through this southwestern Ontario city. Guelph's Royal Recreational Trail brings river-watchers, bicyclists, and walkers along the water and into vibrant downtown squares and streets packed with bistros and bars, galleries and shops. Take in one of many indie rock bands, the summer Jazz Festival, and McCrae House, which honors poet John McCrae of In Flanders Field.
