Pleasant staff and nice food, comfy bed nice view

On arrival externally it is rather bleak but i found that the breakfast area and my room were sufficient for my needs, corridors etc somewhat dated and a lift that loves to open its doors several times when i would rather they shut. Staff were very nice and accommodating and the food decent. Although it seems a poached egg was out of the remit for one chef who murdered them twice. Offers to exchange were turned down as i don’t like waste but would prefer it done correctly first time. For working trip more than adequate.

Hotel is showing its age and needs external refresh and room facilities are basic i.e. does not have usb points in this computer age! Furniture has seen better days, chairs require attention. Adequate for a short stopover. No information at all in the room other than statutory fire notices. Had to ask if tap was drinking water no notice was not convinced of answer I think so, used bottle water.!

Nothing Royal about this place, very run down needs a lot of work both inside and out. The cleaning and condition of the our bathroom was something you wouldnt expect from a 4* hotel. Another strange this is they take £100 from you incase you buy something,strange.

Our room was very spacious clean and tidy . The bed was comfortable and housekeeping came in every day to change towels and replenish tea and coffee . The food was excellent and the staff were great . Overall a really good stay .

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Outside desperately needs work but interior and rooms are fine. Bed not the best. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good.

Humber Royal

Overall our stay at the Humber Royal Hotel was good. The service was excellent as was the food. The rooms were clean and well supplied. The beds very comfortable and had good quality sleep. We didn’t realise that Sunday evening the Hotel did not supply a evening meal which we didn’t realise, but thankfully there was a pub locally that we could walk to. The outside of the Hotel could do with a face lift and make the building look like a Hotel. Some of the furnishings could do with a refurbishment.

The outside of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired - pot holed car park, paint pealing off the function rooms. Inside is better and our room was perfectly fine - though the bed had seen better days and didn’t provide a comfortable nights sleep. Staff are great - very friendly and helpful.

Building could do with a facelift on the outside, inside its beautiful, all staff was polite and helpful, room was stunning, balcony didn't have a good visibility of golf course due to the trees being so high and bushy x

3 of our engineers stayed here whilst working in Grimsby & were really impressed with the hotel. Food, rooms & staff were all excellent & they had great views of the golf course from their balconies. Don't be fooled by the exterior! Will definitely use this hotel again if working in this area.
