We loved this hotel. The only issue is that the beds are extremely hard.

Great old Hotel. It takes a bit to find the hotel but when you get there it is well worth it. For some of we older people the stairs are a little much but it keeps us healthy.

"Great hotel, very well located for visiting Venice"
Very pleased with this choice. Nice friendly hotel close to Piazzale Roma, which is where the buses arrive in Venice, approx. 200m walk (crossing to bridges). After a flight, it was a relief to not have to travel further and on the vaporetta buses in the dark. The hotel staff gave a friendly welcome, explaining all we needed to know about the hotel and our stay in Venice. The room itself was superb. We'd heard about small rooms but ours was above expectations, with a lovely view over the canal. The breakfast was very good, the bar had a good range of drinks and the facilities and toiletries in the room was above expectation too. From the hotel it was easy to walk to most areas of Venice or pick up the water buses. The only minus point is that the hotel doesn't have a restaurant for evening meals but there are plenty of choices nearby, so it wasn't an issue.

"Right next to the Rialto bridge"
We arrived earlier than check-in time, and were hoping to leave our luggage, however we were told our room was ready which was fantastic. Very easy to check in, our luggage was taken to our room by the hotel porter. Room was very clean bathroom had a shower cubicle, toilet, bidet and sink - everything you could ask for (there is even an alarm in the bathroom in case you get into trouble). Room was nice size. Mattresses were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly, even the house maids said morning. Asked the hotel staff on a couple of occasions for some information, they were very helpful and supplied information and maps etc. This is definitely a hotel we would recommend to anyone wanting to go to Venice and we would definitely stay in this hotel in the future if we returned, we were sad to leave. If we could give this hotel more than 5 stars I would.

"Great room with friendly hotel staff"
Overall very satisfied with our room, included breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. Pro's: 1. Hotel entrance faces the Grand Canal, and located very close to the Sant Angelo vaporetto water taxi stop (like 100 meters) 2. The front desk staff was extremely friendly at ALL times of the day and night. ALL questions answered including questions about Venice locations, tours, schedule of water taxi, and recommendations for local restaurants. 3. Our room was a junior suit with balcony facing the grand canal. Large room with a king size bed, walk in closet, desk, refrigerator and sofa bed. Large bathroom with jacuzzi bathtub. 4. Hotel is at a 10 minute walk to Saint Mark square and St Mark Basilica, Bell tower and Doge's palace, which seem to be the main attractions. Also 5 minutes from the Rialto bridge. 5. Hotel has an elevator. 6. Included breakfast served in an elegant room with multiple food choices. 7. Hotel desk staff was fluent in Spanish and English which made communcation easy. Cons: 1. Hotel can be a bit difficult to find at night, however so is the case in my short experience with almost everything else in Venice. The labyrinth of canals, narrow streets, bridges and similar looking buildings presents a challenge in Venice and took me a few walks back and forth from the hotel to get oriented. 2. The room key needs to be left at the desk when out of the hotel. I have encountered this before in Europe, and in my view is not an inconvenience.

"Good Hotel in a nice location."
We stayed in this hotel for two nights. We found the staff most helpful, check in was smooth and efficient . We occupied room 3 which had a nice view over the canal but tended to be a little noisy. We also experienced noise from rooms above, soundproofing could be enhanced. Our room was beautifully decorated with a great bed spoilt only by cobwebs above. We received one small bottle of water complementary between two adults which was a little miserly to say the least. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, however dining room was a little cramped .

"Good hotel to stay "
We had a very good stay at this hotel. I was with my family and we were four of us and the bedding provided to us was excellent and the staff was so kind to give us the best tips to go around Venice with a map in hand. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Wish to again stay in this hotel during my next trip

"Impressive hotel in a great location"
Elegant, comfortable, and welcoming. Location near Strada Nova and a vaporetto stop make it easy to get around, find basic needs like banks and supermarkets, and see plenty of local life as well as tourist highlights. My room facing the Grand Canal was a bit noisy—but that's a minor complaint and to be expected when right on the canal. I wish the hotel would update its electricity offerings—outlets and USB connections near the bed would make it so much easier to charge your various devices. And the wifi in the room was painfully slow and painfully difficult to connect to. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful and offered terrific recommendations for restaurants and for getting around. I enjoyed my stay very much and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Grand Canal is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Grand Canal, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Grand Canal hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
