"Nice hotel"
Nice hotel but sadly was cold for me as I visited in their winter season - not through choice as I was attending a wedding. Pools were too cold - would have been more comfortable if hotel had offered a choice of a heated pool. Room was as advertised - quite comfotable. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

"Best hotel stay ever"
Having travelled a lot for business and pleasure, I have to say this was the best experience ever. Nothing could be faulted . Location, staff and facilities were top notch. The menu was varied even for a veggie like me. And there was even some entertainment every evening

"Wonderful small sophisticated hotel "
We have just returned home to the UK after 10 blissful days staying at 20 Degrees Sud. I would describe it as a small boutique hotel with the décor and feel of the colonial era and at times it does feel like you have been transported back to the 19th century when you are sitting in a rattan chair by the pool having your cocktail served by a liveried waiter, but of course it has all the modern facilities you could want. We stayed in one of the superior beachfront rooms, although in our case it was actually beach facing rather than beachfront, but it was very spacious with a large balcony and queen sized bed and we couldn’t fault it. I understand the standard rooms are quite compact so it would be worth comparing space against price before making your booking. The private beach facing the bay is small but wonderfully maintained and they supply a free boat taxi service to Grand Baie town several times a day and also include snorkelling trips to the reef at 10am and a range of canoes, paddle boards and a small sailing catamaran for customers’ use. There is also the Lady Lisbeth which is a 100 year old pleasure boat moored on their jetty which can be hired for romantic dinners – at a price. We opted for half board which is recommended as the hotel is situated in a mainly residential area and there are no restaurants or shops nearby. Dinner can be taken in the restaurant overlooking the beach or on the terrace by the pool (often accompanied by local musicians) and each meal

"Friendly and pretty resort"
The kindness and gifts I received at check-in were impressive, and I was able to feel the kindness and the thought of customers throughout my stay. During the day, I enjoyed water sports in the sea, and the meal was so delicious. Resort was beautifully prepared, and pool and beach were good, too.

"Simple good quality self catering accommodation"
This accommodation is located very close to the fabulous Mon Choosy Beach. About two miles of lovely white said.sand flanked by shady walkways though trees which home to flocks of wild birds.. There is no hotels fronting it and it is devoid of coconut umbrellas. The beach is favoured by Mauritanian families who flock to it at the weekend set up picnic tables, chairs sometimes carpets and small tents and enjoy a picnic with the extended family. Some bring their musical instruments so there is song and dance. Afterwards there is very little litter. The accommodation provides a two ring hob microwave kettle, adequate for simple meals. The breakfast which is served on your balcony consists of three fruits (banana , pineapple and another ), bread jam, croissants, tea, instant coffee.and yoghurt The swimming pool is lovely and is a good spot to. watch the sun set, creating a backdrop of golds.pinks and blue for men fishing standing on black volcanic rocks and the nearby Hindu Shrine. Manager is very friendly, as are all the staff, and is willing to provide info about local buses, and tours. A visit to the national park in the South of the island is a must do. We had a few showers but on the whole the weather was excellent.

"Fantastic helpful staff"
Absolutly wonderful staff, Begining from the doormen, then the front office then the rooms then the restaurants, every member of staff in this hotel are fabulous. I have been going to this hotel for many years, All the staff new or old they are superb. It is good to see the new staff had been trained to match up to the high quality of hospitality. Well done the senior staff for training the new staff so well to understand the returning guests and treat them well to get them back again and again. If I go to write the names I will have to write the names of every member of the satff. Thats how good every member of the staff in this hotel. The credit should go to the middle management and the senior staff for the great job they have done in trianing the new staff. You can see great harmony among the staff. Every member of staff from the junior to the senior and middle management will identify the returning guests and will make you feel welcome.

"Classy Hotel, Boutique style"
We absolutely loved our stay at Seapoint, we stayed for 6 nights at the beginning of our trip in Mauritius and we didn't want to leave. So where to start.... Rooms and location. Rooms are beautiful clean, airy and well designed. Our room had a great view and lovely balcony, as do pretty much all the rooms at the hotel. Food. Breakfast is outstanding, a really great selection of cheese, cold cuts, breads, fruits and sweets. A special mention for the wonderful Eggs Benedict which even had a pinch of truffle, delicious. Dinner and lunch options were also excellent we didn't eat every night at the hotel but easily could have. Only slight grumble would be prices are very high end. Service. The service was faultless and the staff couldn't do enough to help us throughout the stay. Staff were extremely polite, attentive and always had a big smile. Well done to the whole team for making the stay so special. Negatives? We did find prices very high at the hotel especially 220rupee for a can of Beer, this was a bit much as most places charge 100-120rupee. The private beach is beautiful but there are lots of corals so it's not the most ideal for swimming. Also you just miss the sunset which is a bit of a shame. But you only have to walk to Mount Choisy beach which is 10 minutes away for amazing sunset. Overall I couldn't recommend staying at Seapoint more highly, you are guaranteed to have a relaxing, comfortable and memorable time.

Grand Bay is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Grand Bay, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Grand Bay hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
