"Beautiful and comfortable."
My 90 year old Mother and I spent two very pleasant nights at 131. Our room was lovely, large and bright and comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities, particularly the wet room shower. The downstairs drawing room areas are most relaxing and pleasant to lounge about in , reading the plentiful newspapers available. The buffet breakfast was delicious with great healthy choices, loads of fresh berries, nice breads, cheeses, juices. We much enjoyed it. The staff were charming and very hard working and quietly efficient. I was concerned about the parking, as there is no hotel car park but the hotel gives you a pass to park in an adjoining street and when we visited, it was not a problem to find a space. There are steps up to the main entrance of the hotel and there were stairs up to our room. There was no lift available so Mum had to take it very carefully. We both enjoyed our stay and would visit 131 again.

"Character hotel in historic Pittville area"
The hotel is in a quite setting but within walking distance to the town for theatre etc. The room we stayed in had a newly renovated shower room and was just perfect for an overnight stay. Breakfast was substantial and quickly served.

"Charming hotel"
This is a really charming hotel just on the outskirts of Cheltenham. Easy to find, easy to park and very convenient for going into the town. We had a modern, attractive, comfortable and extremely clean room. The breakfasts were delicious. The most outstanding memory is of the warm welcome that the proprietors gave us.

"Nice Listed hotel in superb surroundings."
Overall, a pleasant stay in this historic building. A historic building will usually come with a helping of " historic surroundings". You get what you book. If you are in the old building then there are no elevators and the rooms feel somewhat dated. The hotel did provide a fan which helped with the heat issue. The bathroom was small and cosy! The surroundings of the hotel were supberb as were the staff. Food was so so but not outstanding. There is a pub attached which i discovered on day 2 that is not related to the hotel which made a nice change from hotel food. The breakfast was buffet style and not appetising although some good choices.

"Quite a long way from central Cheltenham,"
£6 to park car, thought it would be free at that price, hotel is a long way from central Cheltenham.receptionist very helpful with directions, staff very friendly and helpful at breakfast. Used the pool, two other people doing lengths so managed to squeeze in, also used jacuzzi and steam room. Pool not very big, other people got in pool had to swim between jacuzzi and baby pool. A nice stay, lots of choice at breakfast, got poached eggs cooked for us to go alongside the full cooked breakfast. A nice hotel but not central.

"Very nice hotel nestled away in Mickleton"
We booked last minute to attend an evenings entertainment in Mickleton. The hotel was much better than we expected. On arrival we used the Brasserie for Lunch, very enjoyable and reasonably priced. We had an overnight stay with Breakfast. The room was quite small but very comfortable and spotlessly clean (We were in a basic room). Breakfast was very good, with ample food to choose from, I would deginately recommend this hotel.

Gloucestershire is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Gloucestershire, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Gloucestershire hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
