Staff was extremely helpful. We arrived with a car and the woman at the reception came outside and helped us get our car parked, she did the same when we left! The breakfast was great, with a lot of variety. Nice touch too to have iPads available on tables for clients' access, as well as the program of the current festival in town. Good restaurant suggestions too. A really good attitude on the staff's part!

When I booked this hotel, I was really drawn by the old world feel of the place and even told myself "it'll probably be a castle or something". Well when I showed up, it was basically that. I had the La Festejadore room to myself with an amazing view of the plaza, the roman walls and the gardens in the back. I had some trouble getting someone to open the door because I showed up before check-in time but the host showed up after I grabbed some lunch from the main streets. Quite literally my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in. I truly felt like a princess in a castle.

The Hotel is very pleasant upon entry and the staff to greet you, friendly. The location can not be beat for the price. The main downside to this hotel are the rooms, which are on-par with those of a college dorm. Additionally the lack of soundproofing between rooms is poor as well.

Catalonia’s second city after Barcelona, Gerona is the gateway to the Costa Brava although overlooked by most visitors. Its historic centre is compact and atmospheric, with narrow cobbled streets and steep steps. Highlights are the intriguing Jewish Museum, the magnificent cathedral and beautifully preserved Arab baths. Excellent restaurants, bars and shopping complete an enjoyable excursion.
