Bed bugs… :(

Unfortunately found bed bugs all over our bed on the second night, but the receptionist was very lovely and offered to refund. We didnt see the Google reviews that noted the infestation, but if youre in room 43 please ask to move as there are lots of these critters :( We also had no window or balcony access as the door was broken, which made aeration difficult. Otherwise, really good location and lovely staff.

Decent for price, but you get what you pay for. I had a renovated room which was really nice, but the rest of the hotel is under renovation. There’s no elevator and the staff didn’t seem to be in the best physical condition to help you carry your bags up. So keep that in mind.

Not safe, garbage bin across the street, odd ways to get to room through outside stairs, foul smell, had to wash stuff that was out of bag to get rid of smell, cigarette butts out the front window and garbage out bathroom window that had no screen and could potentially be accessed by others, one outlet to charge things but you had to choose to charge or have the fan plugged in, not great when you are travelling and need devices charged, would have changed hotels when we found bugs but nothing available and unsafe to leave with a child late at night in search. Only positive I have is that their staff was super helpful, understanding and kind. I wish they worked at a spot that was better. Would not recommend staying unfortunately regardless of how helpful and kind the staff was.

Unfortunately no air-conditioning and our stay was VERY warm. Also, the television didn't work at all and is not available at all in the hotel. We were given a terrific room with a beautiful view of the lovely buildings. Our room was renovated and accessible by the elevator. We enjoyed the stay all the same. The location is wonderful, the staff were wonderful and the room was wonderful (except for the no aircon). We didn't miss the television but some might.

The property has no air conditioning that we could discern. They have small portable desk fans available upon request. It’s an older property but that just adds to its charm. Neel, the manager was great! Breakfast was also very good. I recommend this hotel as long as your visit isn’t during a heat wave.

The staff wasn't friendly or helpful, and they were mostly absent. We had to call every time we were at the reception, both to check in and check out and also when we had issues. The owners live in the same building and they seem to be always at their place rather than working. The rooms are very basic and, while being recently repainted, feel very outdated. There was only one electrical socket per room to charge our devices; the bedside lamp was broken, doors and windows had terrible locks and were wiggly. Most importantly, the place felt unsafe. The front door is always open so that guests could come in without bothering the staff, and the staff is never at the reception, as I mentioned before. After checking out we left our bags at a storage room (which was just a laundry room) and when we came back, nobody was around and we couldn't wait for a long time, so we tried to open the door to the storage room - and it wasn't locked. Anything could happen to our bags! Avoid this place.
