"Nice modern hotel within walking distance of it al"
This hotel is very modern and quite luxury for Belgium and Europe in general. It reminds me a lot of the Marriot's I have stayed in the USA. The staff was nice, and the ammenities were nice as well albeit quite pricey. The room was not to expensive but the breakfast was 22 euro, way over priced if you ask me.

We were very satisfied with everything. The staff is very helpful, the free breakfast has a lot of variety and the rooms are perfect.
The location is perfect if you do not want to stay in the middle of the city and don't mind taking a 5-10minute walk to the city center.
Everything you need is close by... Grocery store, pharmacy, etc.

I read a lot about the noise from the train station near to the hotel.
I have heard maybe 3 to 4 trains for a time of a couple of minutes in my 3 days stay.
I found that level of noise not disturbing at all.
Because otherwise the hotel an the surrounding of the hotel was absolute quiet.

Staff provided me with my room and keycard relatively quickly. Room was spacious and had decent amenities. The location is very convenient for those travelling via the Gent St Peters station but also is very close to activities in the Central District.

The reception staff were all lovely and so helpful. Plenty of choice at breakfast, the room and bathroom were fine - and spotlessly clean - only loses comfort points because we never quite got the hang of the heating but that's our fault not theirs as I'm sure it would have been explained if we'd asked.

What a surprise to find this immaculately cleaned, vaulted ceilinged generously large room centrally located in Ghent. Charming staff, lovely garden-side breakfast room with generous continental fare. Quiet street walking distance from major historic sites, shopping, and the altarpiece for which Ghent is so famous. Small staff, sort of on your own with a key to main door at odd hours, but suited us perfectly.

The heart and soul of Ghent is the picture-perfect, car-free Old Town. Tour boats ply the Lys River, with the medieval guild houses of Graslei and Korenlei streets casting their reflections upon the placid waters. St. Bavo's Cathedral houses the magnificent Lamb of God altarpiece, painted by the van Eyck brothers in the 1400s. The Gravensteen Castle, built in the 1100s, is another must-see.
