Room pleasant very clean. The updates are nicely done, hotel has some cosmetic needs, showing its age. Hotel had run out of coffee, had an urn on the front counter, except for the morning of checkout, wanted to charge for coffee at the breakfast buffet.

The perfect hotel for anyone vacationing on a budget. It was in a great location, close to town. The trolley passes right in front of the hotel and will bring you in to town for $0.50. There was a little noise from the road as others have said but it didn't phase me one bit or keep me up at night. The balcony overlooked the stream and it made for some peaceful mornings. The staff was friendly and breakfast was decent for a typical continental breakfast. Bed was comfortable. The only thing I would say they could improve on is the cleanliness of the room. Not anything that would prevent me from stay again but the room could have used a deep clean it seemed.

The place looks to be a bit older but overall was still in decent shape. The best thing about it is that it is close to the heart of Gatlinburg so a short walk to get to all the many things to see and do. The staff were very nice, but the breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. I would stay here for the location, but if you really want breakfast you'll probably better off buying something from a nearby restaurant. Last thing, we only stayed here for a little while since there was a problem with the pipes while we were there. We never even had a problem but the staff informed us and helped us get spots inside another nearby hotel without a problem and at no extra cost so that was pretty nice. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you would like to spend some time in Gatlinburg.

The hotel is quite aged compared to many of the newer amenities in Gatlinburg, but the location right above running water is very soothing. They have the basic essentials that a motor lodge would require and everything was clean and in working order. Able to walk any where in the downtown strip area. Does offer breakfast at a sister facility up the road about two blocks.
Greatest draw was cost for travelers on a budget but still want convenience and safe, clean room. All and all, a nice experience for a mountain stay.
