The hotel is aesthetically very traditional. It is well kept and quiet. The beds are very comfortable.
The neighborhood is horrendous.I did not feel safe walking to neighboring restaurants at night.
Monterrey is not an attractive city and staying here creates and even worse impression.

Our first visit to Monterey, we were pleased with friendly staff, unfortunately, on our first night of arrival the air condition line sprung a leak and we had to change room at 4am which was difficult, rooms are not very clean, we asked management to look into their cleaning crew. But, on the upside the location is very safe and have nice restaurants within the mall for all budgets.

Quick check in.
Main thing for me: Coffee was only replenished on day 1.
Pain to walk to Starbucks every morning. Or the main restaurant.
I was supposed to get the 15% VIP discount with my Expedia VIP status. Did not happen.

I liked the staff and the feel of the hotel. The food itself, when waiting for the hotel room to be ready, was some what common to expect. I don't know why I expected something more Mexican. still we enjoyed our meal. NOW, the room itself was comfortable and The view was perfect. Dusk and Dawn. Especially the night view of the city.
The Plaza underneath the hotel is cool with a gym, bar, salon and more in walking distance. That Light up bridge had us taking photos in every color. lol
Never got the chance to get in the pool. When it was finally time to leave. The hotel driver knew how to keep a conversation and informed us of the growth of the city. Made us feel more comfortable.
In all I actually will be returning to this Hotel. It's beautiful, comfortable, affordable and friendly. I can't wait to go back for a longer stay.

Shaped like a topsail, the dramatic Unity Bridge crosses the Santa Catarina River and links Monterrey with Garza Garcia. Also known as San Pedro, this affluent city is home to several corporate offices and enclosed, American-style shopping malls, such as Plaza Fiesta San Agustin. In the Valle Oriente district, modern office towers share the skyline with nearby mountains.
