My wife and I had a 24 hr layover in Oslo and the Park Inn was the perfect option! It's a quick 5 minute walk from the airport making it perfect if you have an early morning flight the next day. Our flight wasn't until the evening, so we were able to take the train (again, just a 5-10 min walk from the hotel) to downtown Oslo, which only took about 20 minutes. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast was excellent as well. We would gladly stay here again.

Had to catch an early flight. Great stop. Very nice hotel for the price.
Got in very late, but the young man at the desk was more than happy to serve me a beer. Had a great conversation with him. Fiendly staff.

Our plane finally arrived at Gardermoen 4 hours late. We'd been able to phone reception at Scandic from Gatwick, London and were reassured that reception would still be open when we arrived. This took a lot of the pressure off us. On leaving the hotel, when the airport shuttle bus for was 30 minutes late, the receptionist brought out chocolate bars for the waiting passengers - very thoughtful and much appreciated.
