This was our third visit and we would not go elsewhere if visiting Mijas. On the edge of town with a two minute walk to the first bar and cafe. The views from the dining room and the swimming pool area are magnificent with the coastline in full view.

Los Monteros is a comfortable well presented hotel offering good facilities. The Beach Club is excellent but very expensive and closes early at 7pm. Be better if the beachside restaurant was open all evening for those who want to dine right next to the sea. Most staff were excellent and friendly however one or two were blunt and rude and had a language barrier which detracted from the overall impression. Overall a pleasant hotel with good cuisine but the room (we had a duplex junior suite) was too small with limited views and a very small balcony and bathroom and it is a very expensive hotel indeed - be warned! It's also slightly too far away from Marbella and Puerto Banus so ideally you would need a hire car or be prepared for a lot of taxi expense. The nearby golf clubs were convenient however they both suffer from thieves preying on golfers who are vulnerable to attack which also was not ideal. The hotel also had too many children running about for our liking. The breakfast was quite probably the highlight of the day - truly excellent.

This was a lovely hotel with lovely staff and decent entertainment on a night the food was nice but slightly repetitive but nothing to cause a problem, the main problem was the position of the hotel although there was a bus stop outside the bus was not very reliable which is same anywhere with public transport even though it was only €1.55 it was easier to get a taxi although it was more expensive but the hotel can't help that just needed to be closer

Fuengirola boasts eight kilometres of sandy beaches, flanked by high-rise hotels. Although heavily developed, it retains some local identity and glimpses of its historic past. The old port features traditional fishing boats, while the new marina has sleek yachts. A water park, zoo and water sports are the principal diversions while the weekly flea market is the largest and liveliest on the coast. For a glimpse of yesteryear visit neighbouring Boliche.
