we travel south several times a year and always stay in the Winchester area as our stopping point for the first day of travel
This year it was on Christmas day and we had reservations at the Ramada in Strasburg..After a long day on the road we were looking for some place to have diner..being Christmas day there was not to much open..much to our delight we found the Hotel Strasburg was open and we had a great meal and the Staff was wonderful so on the return trip we made our reservations at the Strasburg.. the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the price was cheaper than the Ramada
the Strasburg will ow be a regular stop over for us

The gentleman that signed me in at 5pm was very nice, friendly and helpful. For a "pet room" it was cleaner than I expected and it had no odors. It had an easy access door to walk the dog. I will stay here again.

The north Front Royal Entrance to Shenandoah National Park leads to Shenandoah Valley Overlook, providing views across the valley to Signal Knob. Beyond the overlook, the Dickey Ridge Visitor Center features a movie and an interactive exhibit, designed as introductions to the park. The Signal Knob Overlook sits just further in and offers glimpses of its namesake, a Civil War communications post.
