The fact that in order to have a shower, one had to step into the bath rather coloured our enjoyment of the room. Fortunately there was a bar to hold on to as one stepped out. We had requested a balcony room so that is possibly why we had an inconvenient bathroom. The usual doona experience is not to our taste.
Everything else was satisfactory and the breakfast was adequate but there was a shortage of fresh fruit. I noted with interest that some people were making interesting juices out of carrots, green apples and kale - probably very good for one.

A really nice hotel, newly renovated and looking pretty spiffy. Rooftop bar looks good and will be great once it is getting warmer outside.
But we had real issues with housekeeping. Dishes were dirty and never cleaned. Forgot to refill coffee, toiletries, towels, etc. Real shame, as, otherwise, it's a nice hotel.

It is the perfect place to stay as it is located in Perth City moments to shops, restaurants & transport.
The staff were very helpful and I paid extra when I arrived to upgrade to a deluxe king room as I was staying for 7 nights. The room was perfect for my requirements and the free wifi was most welcomed.
I will definitely stay there again next time i’m in Perth or any other city with a Pensione Hotel, as I was impressed with the quality at a very affordable price.

Located 15 km (9 miles) southwest of the city centre, Freo (as the locals refer to it) is one of Perth's top attractions. Wander through its impressively restored historic warehouses and prison dating from the convict era, as well as its Edwardian streets and shopping precinct. Good museums, street markets, bustling working docks, energetic nightlife and a great variety of restaurants are other attractions, while in summer the beaches benefit from the 'Fremantle Doctor', a pleasantly cooling breeze.
