"Great B&B as a base for exploring Fredericksburg"
Wonderful location in Old Town Fredericksburg close to Kenmore Manor, Mary Washington's House and some fine restaurants. Served as a base for visits to Ferry Farm and the battlefields. Our room was small but comfortable. As in most B&Bs, the walls are not thick, so can hear folks in other rooms. Also, the bathroom was tiny and in need of updating even for a historic property. The Inn's restaurant was fabulous for dinner (it was Summer Restaurant Week) but average for breakfast. All in all a fine place for a weekend getaway from DC.

We stayed in a suite and the rates were very affordable and rooms were large and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Easy access to I-95. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good. Check out was easy.

Pocket Guide: Northern Virginia Fredericksburg Hotels
The colonial past thrives in Fredericksburg and Spotsylvannia and Stafford counties. Visitors can tour George Washington’s boyhood home at Ferry Farm, site of the myth of Washington and the cherry tree. Heavily damaged in the Civil War, Spotsylvannia’s Old Courthouse has county records from 1720. The United States National Slavery Museum marks a shameful chapter in American history.
