A solid value with wonderful staff, sure the building can use some work but value is king. The property needs a clean up and a few things are outdated but still comfortable and clean. Hassan the night clerk is terrific, nice and helpful and makes damn good oatmeal for breakfast. The breakfast is great could use a few items more.

Check in easy. Very nice staff. The room at full kitchen which was adequate for reheating things did not do much cooking there . Staff will provide anything you need for cooking as well as toaster and coffee maker .

We were in town for a wedding in Middletown. Hotel staff was nice during check-in and check-out. Decor and furniture is pretty old, carpet in room was noticeably stained, desk chair broken, sitting chair worn. Bathroom was very clean. Sheets and bed very clean. Room service took over an hr, but food was decent. 18% gratuity is automatically charged so don't worry if you don't have change to tip. Overall a decent stay, better deal than most surrounding establishments. Quick drive to Middletown where most of the good restaurants are.

West of Hartford, Farmington boasts the Farmington Valley Greenway. Once a railway bed, the scenic trail system is accessible at several points and is popular with walkers, joggers, skaters, and bikers alike. Alfred Atmore Pope's collection of French Impressionist paintings can be seen at the Hill-Stead Museum, and the town's past is alive and well at Stanley-Whitman House's living history center.
