I have stayed at the Fairmont Hot Springs before, but in a cabin. This time we stayed in a room with a Kitchenette. It was adequate enough, but felt it was a little dated. In some ways that added to the experience, but still think some upgrades were in order. The beds and pillows were very comfy which I don’t usually say about most hotels. So the sleeping was great! It was a spacious room and didn’t feel crowded or congested. While I felt the room and resort costs are a little pricy, and food as well, I would still recommend staying here, and will probably be back again one day. I would recommend that you have more than one staff posted for check in. We waited in line for almost 20 min.

I had checkout issues as the receptionist claimed I had only paid for one room instead of two. Despite showing all proof and receipts from Expedia, the staff member was uncooperative, tried to skip me in line to check in another guest, and told me to contact Expedia directly. When I insisted that I had valid documentation, he eventually called his manager. The manager was helpful, apologized for the inconvenience, and assisted with the check-in, assuring me that they would contact Expedia to resolve the issue. However, it was very frustrating - my elderly parents and my family kids were left waiting for over 25 minutes just to check in.

Stayed here August 6-9 with grand daughters. Pool areas are not cleaned even with too many people around. Runs out of pool towels often even at guests only pool. Had to call front desks twice to get our room cleaned. I chose this place only because the grand daughters love to swim the hot/cold pools. Needs a lot of improvement and more staff to keep pool areas clean and to keep up with keeping guests room clean.

Check-in was not well organized and took longer than expected due to a lack of efficiency and direction. The property could definitely benefit from more signage to help guests navigate. The spa was fantastic—definitely a highlight—but be sure to book early as appointments fill up quickly. The room was clean, though the decor felt a bit dated. Also, if you have mobility issues, this may not be the best choice—there are uneven walkways and many stairs throughout the property, which could pose challenges. Overall a good stay.

We had a blast staying there, from when we arrived late afternoon until we left. The staff were amazing, super friendly and polite. The guy at the front desk even gave us some tips on where to go nearby. The food in the restaurant is good and well-cooked, but it took ages for us to get our food that day. We loved how easy it was to get to the hot spring pools. The big one has three sections (around 30°C, then 32°C and 39°C), and there's another pool (38°C) near the restaurant. There's other stuff to do around there too, like 18-hole golf, mini golf for the kids, horseback riding, and a playground.

The property is understaffed and we had to wait a substantial time for checking in and also for our food they seem to be due to a lack of staff available. We also found the rooms decor pretty old although we only stayed one night so didn’t matter too much. Otherwise staff were friendly and the room is clean.

A very nice retreat relatively close to the gates of Kootney national park. Hot springs are amazing and entry to the public pool is included with stay. The room was very cozy and comfortable and you can cast to the TV which is great for kids.
