"very close to Exeter town centre and eating places"
Parking is available at car park opposite the hotel but it was not made clear to us on arrival and on enquiring about parking that there would be an £8 per day charge.
Staff were helpful and friendly. However a couple of requests regarding my room were overlooked.
The room was comfortable, modern and adequate , however the bathroom was old and dated and definitely not cleaned very well at all. The linen is changed every 3 days but the beds were not made up very well during our stay. There were niggly oversights unfortunately.
Breakfast was great quality and plenty of available items including gluten free .

Room was pleasant and very clean. It was on the small side. Bed was small - normal double size, but comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. The bar is pleasant. We did not use the restaurant as breakfast was not included. Near to the A38, but quiet. Overall would use as a Base for exploring again.

I loved this place. It felt like being back in the 1970s. From the red flocked wallpaer and white melamine french styled furniture, right through the dinner gong in the dining room; everything felt like the set of Crossroads Motel.
But the room was clean. The staff were fantastic. The whole place had a great atmosphere.
It was like wearing a comfortable pair of worn slippers.

Great staff at reception. Was given an upgrade to a ground level room because I had a very sore knee which made stairs difficult. The room was clean, bed very comfortable. The highlight, however, was the restaurant and bar.
After a long day's drive this hotel was a treat

Devon’s principal town, Exeter is not only an historical city but also a lively student centre. Don’t miss the medieval cathedral, one of England’s finest, while the Royal Albert Memorial Museum houses one of England’s best provincial collections. Visitors can take a cruise from Exeter Quayside and visit the quaint port of Topsham. Bicton Gardens is a popular outing and Exeter is also handily placed for exploring Dartmoor and the English Riviera.
