Great location only 3 very safe blocks from the train. Didn't notice a lot of restaurants or anything near by, but wasn't really looking. Craig at the front desk was FANTASTIC!!! Breakfast was what you'd expect from a Super 8 so if you're not expecting too much you'll be pleased.

We booked this hotel as we were going to a concert in Chicago at the United Center. We new we would need a place to stay over and sleep at that wasn't too far from the venue. It was just myself and my son. We were asked at check in if we wanted a King size bed or 2 doubles, which I am glad we had the option. There appeared to be some sort of event happening at the hotel, and I was thankful that our room was not close by the event so that it would not be too loud or noisy. The hotel was nice, however, you could see that it was older and they had done some remodeling to make it a nicer place to stay. The rooms were pretty clean, though not fine details, a few dust bunnies and the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. I f I were a bath person, I would not have taken a bath in the bath tub. Overall it was a perfect fit for our short stay.

Wonderful stay had know idea their was a strip mall across the street and a lot of great places to eat. During check in i was surprised to receive a chocolate nut cookie which I must say is to die for also free apples. Just enough to give you a boost after a long ride or flight. Will definitely stay again and worth the money.

I stayed here for two nights. It was a very pleasant experience. Comfortable room, if the bathroom was a bit small. Good food. Great neighborhood. Parking could be improved. I brought my ticket down to the valet after the first night and he asked if I had called down. I said, "No, was I supposed to?" He said its faster that way. It then took almost 15 minutes for me to get my car. The next morning I called down about 20 minutes before I was ready to leave. My car was there when I exited the hotel but I did have to wait a few minutes for the valet to return from helping another customer before I got my key. The latter situation was okay but I think they should let you know that you have to call down in advance to get your car when you want it.

Spent a nice week at the Hampton Inn in Skokie. The staff was wonderful.everything we needed was already there. Nice and clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the great complimentary hot breakfasts with plenty of seating and really neat waffle machines.

Home to one of the most diverse populations in the Chicago area, Skokie hosts a Festival of Cultures every May. A sculpture park in town features 70 different works of art. Just north of the park is a statue to Mahatma Gandhi. The campus of Northwestern University occupies much of Evanston. This tree-lined suburb also claims to be the birthplace of the ice cream sundae.
