Really nice location and time of year (end Feb/early March) for a quiet stay. Some of the restaurants and facilities are closed but what is open is well staffed and really works well. The best thing about the hotel was the staff who were all excellent, particularly in the buffet restaurant. The restaurant itself was good value with a good standard of food and excellent variety. As it turned out we were very lucky with the weather but even if the weather had been less favourable the stay would have been perfectly ok. The SPA was again good value and really enjoyable and relaxing.

The hotel is located a little way out of Estepona so it would be a very long walk to the restaurants int he Port. You definitely need a car.
They have a lot of rooms that were designed to be parts of suites. This means that the rooms do not have comfortable chairs but there is a separate sitting area, however, you might be sharing this with one or two other rooms. Their superior rooms have a sofa but cost more. The shower rooms are massive.
The hotel is very large with different buildings spread out around the grounds. It is lovely walking through the grounds to the furthest buildings but if you have mobility problems you should definitely ask for a room in the main block.
Breakfasts were good with a wide choice of different options.

The hotel had very few guests staying when we were there and often we were the only ones in the dining room in the evening. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was well cleaned every day.
There are restaurants nearby (walking distance) including an excellent Indian.
The hotel was good value for money.

The overall experience was good, however the Internet reception was very through the entire hotel and eventhough the hotel reception staff ver nice they forgot to tell me the rooms don't get cleaned every day. I was their 3 nights and my towels were never changed.

Beautiful location. A bit quiet; had to ask to open the facilities. I had a hot stone massage; adequate, a bit short...not the full time and the tech dropped the stones at one point...not so relaxing. She also forgot to question me about my special needs PRIOR to the massage...
Room was very lovely, but no a/c for a day...hot in September. The restaurant crew was superb!!!! Although they are tasked with a spartan menu, they do it beautifully and with grace. Its not as exciting a menu as spas in the US, but the waitstaff makes up for the food. All in all, a beautiful facility that needs to tighten up some loose ends.

1. This is not a hotel, it is an apartment in what looks like a time-share complex.
2. The apartment was excellent and fully equipped but the following should be noted:
a) The two bathrooms are quite small.
b) Main bathroom bath/shower is difficult to get in/out so seniors look-out.
c) Hot water is limited to capacity of electric tank.
d) Not the easiest of places to find.
e) Pillows were not comfortable.
f) Has its own parking area in communal garage but not the easiest to get in/out.
g) There is a fully-equipped kitchen but no coffee or water (other than tap water) available for when you arrive.
h) You will need to rent a car since the complex is not walking distance from amenities.
3. The location is not by or close to the seaside.

Estepona is often mentioned in the same breath as its glitzy neighbour, Marbella, but is much less developed—and less expensive. Alongside the new hotels and modern marina, it retains a characterful Old Town with steep, cobbled streets and tapas bars. Its beaches are among the best on this stretch of coast, including a (legal) nudist beach. There is a good golf course here and Selwo Safari Park is very close by. By night it is relatively quiet.
