This hotel is near two major attractions - Bar Harbor and Arcadia National Park. It offers comfortable and AFFORDABLE accommodation, friendly and helpful staff and proximity to some of the best seafood in the area!! My wife and I are generally wary of chain hotels - except for Ramada which is uniformly a great value for your money and staffed by excellent folk.
Thank you, all of you at 'New' Ramada for all that you did to make our stay comfortable.

Stayed 2 nights while visiting nearby Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The hotel was close to everything. Very quiet.
Coffee in the lobby all the time. Room was quite large with refrigerator and microwave. Carpet was clean, but stained. The hotel is on a one-way street- so you have to get used to going around a large block to go the other direction!

Everything was up to date, clean and cozy from the lobby to the room to the pool/hot tub area to the breakfast area! The breakfast more than you usually expect at hotels. From fresh fruit to patries to eggs/ meat to making your own waffle! It was a bit more than i wanted to pay per night bit it was well worth it! It was a great place to stay!

Last hotel room apparently available in town on a Saturday in September. The guy at the desk was totally nice, though harried. The room and hotel in general were basically clean and completely fine, but the beds squeaked, the room smelled of cleaning products, there was no way to vent the room without leaving a sliding door open to the parking lot all night, and the lobby reeked of cigarettes (no smoking in there, but people must smoke immediately outside or something)

This was a good place for our short one night stay on our trip to pick up kittens. The motel is convenient to shopping and dining, plus only a short drive from Bar Harbor. The staff was very nice, and the pet friendly status was ideal for our intended trip.

The place is no frills but clean and dogs friendly. We have two big dogs and didn't even pay extra for them. The cottages are small but we just needed place to sleep as we were hiking in Arcadia. Our three days we stay there went fast,we'll be back next year. You can't ask for more for that price in this area.

Located less than 5 minutes outside the main drag of Ellsworth, so there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It's probably about 45 minutes to get to the main areas of Acadia NP. There are certainly closer places, but we thought this one was great. For a relatively cheap motel, the room was clean and comfortable. It has a cabin vibe. We had everything we needed, including a nice TV and heater. Great overall experience!

We rented one bedroom Apartment. There website doesn't have any pic of the inside of the apartment so we called the management office to find the details. We also told them that we will reach late on the day of our check-in. They left the key in a box outside the management office. They also added directions to our apartment which was close by. GPS(garmin) didn't have any problem in locating the problem but if you are using google maps make sure you put "Patten Pond Camping Resort" and not the actual resort address.
Apartment was very clean and the maple tree outside the apartment was in full glory. It was equipped with full kitchen and a big bathroom. TV had a lot of channels. They can probably work on the mattress in the bedroom. That's not of good quality. Room was heated by a heating device located in living room due to this bedroom may get chilly in night. At the Management office Barbara and Harry both were very courteous and helpful. I will stay again there if I ever visit Acadia.

Gateway to Maine's Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, and picturesque Bar Harbor, the city of Ellsworth is on the shores of Union River, 30 miles west of Bangor. Downtown features antique shops, galleries, and a wide range of dining venues, including an Irish pub and a lobster house. The Grand, a historic art-deco theater dating to the 1930s, hosts movies and live performances.
