Hotel was very comfortable and newly renovated. Interesting Historical details throughout. Staff was helpful when they could be reached but no-one answered the phone. Great Breakfast! And very convenient to historic downtown areas

Classy and comfortable hotel

I love this hotel. This was my second stay and while it didn’t quite live up to the memory of the first stay, it nevertheless provided a good experience. There was live music in the bar when I checked in. Parking is in a private lot adjacent to the hotel. The decor is classy and creates a cozy boutique feel. The room and bathroom were spacious and had everything I needed. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh, and had lots of options.

The Tygart Hotel received a major renovation since I last visited over 30 years ago. The property is extremely well-managed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The dining room is first-class. I found my room a little tight and I was astounded to see plastering falling off the walls as I took the Exit from the 4th floor to the Lobby. All and all a good value and a good choice for staying in Elkins.
