The location to attractions, great restaurants and the subway was ideal for us; however, the hotel was very dated, and front desk staff were not approachable, one even appeared incompetent. The room was always warm, even with the radiator off and the window air conditioning unit on. We frequently opened the window, since it was 40 degrees outside.
Additionally, the room was very reminiscent of my grandmothers house in the 70’s.
All that being said....it was clean, we felt safe, and the price was acceptable.

My friends and I loved this hotel! We thought it was beautiful and the staff was really nice and helpful, however I didn’t love that there wasn’t really a front desk. When you check in, you check in with a kiosk, like at the airport. I was fine with this until I tried calling the hotel with a question, while we were out, and no one answers the phone there since everything seems to be done online or with leaving a message. It would be helpful if they had front desk workers to answer phone calls. Other than that our stay was perfect! We all loved our room and the atmosphere of the place! We all agreed that we would come back again.

Overall the room was great. Beautiful view, comfortable bed, nice soaking tub with a view of One World Trade. The blinds were remote controlled which was very cool. There were small things that I did have issue with. For example, there is a Nespresso Machine in the room. Great!....Well they cheap-out and buy the knock-off Nespresso Pods instead of the real ones, so the machine didn't really work and leaked water all over. There was no iron or ironing board in the room. Maybe that's a 5 star luxury thing, where they assume people will just request drycleaning services, but to the average traveler this was an inconvenience.
