It is nothing fancy, but it was comfortable and quiet and the staff was very nice. You can get a train to New York City at the Metuchen station not far from the motel, making this a good place to stay if you want to see New York City inexpensively. The train takes about 40 minutes to get to Penn Station in downtown Manhattan. The nearby Metuchen diner has great food, too!

It was my second time visiting the area and I decided not to stay at the dirt cheap hotel down the street that I stayed at last time. I made a good choice. I read a few reviews of the place online that were old but I saw none of what the negative reviews mentioned.

Hotel room was comfortable, but older and in need of an update and refresh.
Front desk staff was cold and unfriendly; but did honor our request to change rooms due to very noisy neighbors attending a HS reunion in the hotel.
Would stay there again if something else wasn't available at the same price.

This was my second time staying and I'm a fan, I'd return. It's one of the less expensive options in my area for when I need to get out of my busy house and really buckle down and get work done so it definitely suits my purposes, the free wifi offered definitely doesn't cut it but upgrading for like $5 isn't a horrible deal and it definitely works a lot better. The beds are pretty comfortable and I find the sound from route 9 very comforting to sleep to in a completely unironic way. The room wasn't ready at check in time but I left and when I came back an hour later it was good to go. It was kind of funny to me that there were dead mosquitos beaten on the wall, but I left them there, it was kind of charming in the way that a really offputting dear head on the living room wall of a hunter's house is. Stuff like that doesn't bother me at all but I can see why it would disturb some people from other reviews who've complained about cleanliness, but honestly after inspecting the beds, shower, toilet, fridge, other things that I actually have to come into contact with that aren't the wall, it's really not that bad. The general manager is really professional and personable and all the staff I came into contact with were helpful and quirky and had nice personalities which overall makes the experience for me. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be back soon, please don't change a thing, I love you guys the way you are.

Got there me and my girlfriend and learn that we have been upgraded to a suite, they gave us free complementary drinks at the Trellis bar, we found drinks in our mini-fridge. Check-in was pretty fast, staff was very helpful, they were working on installing new elevators but you don’t even feel that the site is under construction, it was a very good experience i will recommend this hotel to all my friends transiting in NJ.

Thomas Edison perfected the incandescent lightbulb and invented the phonograph in Menlo Park and the area was renamed Edison in his honor. The Art Deco-style Edison Memorial Tower was built on the site of his laboratory and contains a museum of the inventor’s work. The New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center, with more than 150,000 square feet of exhibit space, is the state’s largest event facility.
