"Historic hotel near many restaurants and shops"
All the staff were great. Everything went smoothly from the guest check in to the wait staff in Hunter's Tavern. We arrived early and alerted the front desk. We did not expect our room to be ready, however, I received a phone call from the front desk 2-1/2 hours later letting us know that our room was ready and we could check in. I would recommend black out curtains and/or solar shades for the rooms as the sun was able to peak out from under the window treatments just enough to let in sunlight. We stayed on the 4th floor in the recently renovated rooms which were well appointed.

"Nice Hotel For One Night"
Nice place to stay overnight. If they would provide plush towels, the hotel rating would go up a few points.

"Wonderful hotel with beautiful bay views!"
Overall our stay was very nice. We had a beautiful view of the bay from our balcony. The hotel amenities were great as were the staff. I have only 2 complaints; one was during check-in (we arrived at 3pm) we were told our room was not ready yet so we left our cell phone numbers with the front desk and they said they would contact us when the room was ready. We waited around until 4pm and still no contact from the front desk. We finally went to the front desk to inquire about our room around 4:15pm and they said the room was ready but no apology about the wait and no phone call. My only other complaint was the guests in the next room were having a party or something and people were talking very loudly on the balcony and in the halls at 2am. We couldn't sleep much because of it. Balconies are adjoining and there isn't any space between theirs and ours. Other than that the hotel was very nice and the rooms were very clean. I would stay there again despite the 2 issues we encountered.

"My Wife's Birthday"
My wife and I stayed at Five Gables for two nights (March 9 - 11). The accommodations were very nice. We had a comfortable room with fireplace. There was a nearby indoor pool, steam room and sauna. Continental breakfast was included. The inn is within easy walking distance of nice shops and good restaurants. We plan to return in May or June after things really get going!

"Perfect Couples Getaway"
Had a great weekend at Sandaway! It is located in a charming, dream like town- secluded, quiet, romantic, and relaxing. Check in was a breeze, even though it is limited to a 2 hour window-so, reading the fine print is important when checking in. A complimentary breakfast is offered daily, and it was perfect and enough for us. Delivered to the door, no knock, which allowed us to sleep in . The room, while charming, can stand with a few upgrades- mainly paint and some wallpaper repair, but nothing obvious that would keep us from returning. Bed was super comfy, loved the claw foot tub that I soaked in every night, and all the space to spread out- the porch with the swings, our private porch, the lawn chairs, walking along the shore line...it was a great room and a lovely weekend.

"Convenient location"
We were pleased with the hotel for the most part. The tub in our room was pretty bad, stained and the chrome wasn't clean. Also there were two big flood lights pointing right at our window on the first floor. Was too light if you like to sleep in the dark.

"Restful B&B on a watermen's harbor"
Lazyjack Inn is a wonderful place to stay on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The hosts, Mike and Carol, couldn't be more welcoming or hospitable. Delicious breakfasts overlooking Dogwood Harbor, beautifully decorated rooms, places to sit and read in the sun, or inside next to a warming fire. A place to de-connect and enjoy the beauties of nature and the quiet sounds of the bay. We had the privilege of staying for six nights and felt more like family than guests by the end of our stay. Mike and Carol are also very helpful in directing their guests to places to go and good places to eat (and there are many in this area). Tilghman's Island is a "real" place where real people earn their living on the water, but only fifteen minutes from St. Michaels. We couldn't recommend Lazyjack more and will be back.

Eastern Chesapeake Shore is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Eastern Chesapeake Shore, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Eastern Chesapeake Shore hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
