The Positive: Check-in was a breeze. The staff accommodated us quickly. Rooms are positioned close to the main elevator which is directly in front of the lobby. Appearance is average. Nothing spectacular to look at in this Best Western but the reason for our stay was just to get some rest. The hotel is very conveniently located for East Peoria shopping, eating, etc. The room was clean and the TV was better than expected. Digital cable, so no problems with picture quality or changing channels. Nothing special about the room though. Colors were very neutral overall.
Staff was very friendly and polite. Even cleaning crews were congenial and talkative.
The Negative: In our opinion, the breakfast was bad. Nothing seemed to be restocked. There wasn't much there. Perhaps they felt that there are better options outside the hotel at restaurants. No fruit that we can remember and not sure if there was any milk. Paper plates were scarce. Didn't even know if the ones we saw were clean and supposed to be there. We thought someone might have had extras and just left them under a cereal container. Not impressed with breakfast at all.....Last complaint....The shuttle was parked under the carport. We arrived at 3pm for check-in and it hadn't moved when we returned at 11:30pm. So what? It was raining. No one could unload. The next morning it was parked even more center. What's up with that? No dumbwaiters also.
This is the reason for 3 stars. If you just want a room its fine.

Arrived 9 pm, check in prompt. Wen tot get bottled water at bar, but now one at bar, just 7 guests. Waited 5 minutes no staff showed. Went back to front desk, no one there either to ask. Room OK. Lots of families with children. Easy to find.

Our family met here to celebrate our twin grandsons' 3rd birthday. We were able to use a small lobby area to open gifts & enjoy birthday cake. We were able to use the shuttle to go to the Peoria Rivermen's game. The rooms were clean & spacious. We enjoyed the pool, too. The breakfast was delicious and a good value with paying extra on our reservation. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
