I went to a concert at Vinyl and the price was right to stay at the Hard Rock. It was a great decision. Insanely comfortable room, upstairs from the venue. Additionally there are things to do nearby like Hoffbrauhaus and Double Down Saloon.

We had a room with a balcony and it was really large, had a microwave, mini-fridge, stove top and sink. The bathroom was huge (designed for someone with a wheelchair) and everything was really clean. There was a Starbucks in the Tower we were in and access to the Strip via the walkway to the MGM. The view of the Strip was great. We'd stay there again when in Vegas.

I was there with a sister primarily to hike. However we did drive to a few major hotels to look around and for their buffets.
This was an ideal location and good value. The hotel is organized into a number of 2-story out buildings where the rooms are. Thus, you can park (outside) close to your building. It's a short walk to the central building where the lobby, casino, bars, and restaurants are located.
The room was large with two queen beds, couch, easy chair, coffee table, dining table with 4 chairs, desk, refrigerator, and single cup coffee maker (good coffee). Large bathroom with separate tub and shower and toilet room. The toilet room has a separate door inside the bathroom. Quiet, clean and secure.
It has a casino, Italian fine dinning, mid-price restaurant, takeout/fast food, pub, entertainment room/bar, fitness room, and coin laundry. No buffet. A number of discount coupons are given to you at check-in. Bar drinks and wine are expensive.

I have to tell you that it was a very nice experience, the staff was very friendly, everything was very clean. The breakfast was more than enough. We had the opportunity to compare with tourists from other hotels, well known and fancy hotels, they were not very happy.

I liked the hotel it wasn't on the strip but close enough so I could walk anywhere I wanted to go. One strange thing if your over 6' it's going to suck taking a shower you will have to kneel down because the shower head is only about 5' maybe 5'6" !!

This area has more lodging variety than The Strip. East of the Strip features both gaming and non-gaming properties that range from budget to luxury accommodations. Key attractions here include the Las Vegas Convention Center, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the McCarran International Airport, several office parks, and the Restaurant Row along Flamingo and Paradise roads.
