A very unique beach and golf field side hotel. Vintage design and classic decor. Reasonable size room and very delicious breakfast. The only thing that was annoying is that the room was really hot while the weather outside was 12c. So we ordered a fan. The other thing is the swimming pool area was full of parents with their children and it's not big enough to share and enjoy it.

Great stay for 3 nights near golf courses of our choice. Hotel served a nice breakfast made to order. Staff was very helpful and attentive. The hotel has a little bit of a B & B atmosphere, but of the highest quality. Bathrooms were updated and had an awesome shower! Room was very comfortable but not overly large. We saw guests coming for their tea over the weekend, too.

Ducks Kilspindie is charming, old style, with lots of original features. It's popular for golfers, we found, and for us car enthusiasts too! The restaurant was upmarket; dinner was divine. Breakfast included in the price was brilliant too. Great location, handy for touring the area. We'll be staying there next year for our car show at the Museum of Flight again. Lovely time!

We have just enjoyed a two night break at this little gem of a hotel. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. We enjoyed drinks in the bar which has a nice, relaxed atmosphere with locals and visitors. The owner, Pat, couldn't be more helpful and indeed all staff were very friendly. Our room (room 1) was compact but adequate and the bed was extremely comfortable. We'd highly recommend this hotel for a short break.

Prosperous agricultural East Lothian lies due east of the capital. Haddington, the county town, is rich and handsome, and due south the Lammermuir Hills are home to some charming villages. North Berwick, a genteel Victorian-Edwardian resort half an hour by rail from Edinburgh, looks onto Bass Rock, home to over 100,000 seabirds. Gullane ('Gillin') houses the Muirfield golf course, while nearby Musselburgh is the region's busiest racecourse.
