Attention to the details. Excellent morning coffee freshly ground when ready to brew in your room. Emphasis on local goods and fare. Rooftop is splendid. Location is easy. We walked to all our outings. Durham is THE hip city in NC and I'd say in the southeast. Buckwheat sugar cake made specifically for the hotel is special treat. Only downside for us was wishing our windows in room were larger but we weren't in our room much either. And there are other room options.

I LOVED my trip there! My boyfriend and I even joined the staff for a game a bingo they hosted for the clients! It was wonderful. I enjoyed the small talk with the front desk and with the GM. I will come back to this hotel!

I was very pleased with the room but very impatience. I stayed waiting about 15 minutes just to check in because there was only one person at the check in desk. I was not pleased with the breakfast but everything was pleasing.
